Events @ Trinidad State's Valley Campus

Two Trinidad State Studio Art students chosen for “Ancestor” Exhibit as Walsenburg’s Museum Of Friends annual El Dia de los Muertos Exhibition

  • Opening date: October 27
  • Run Dates: October 27 - Jan 26

This exhibition has been planned to acknowledge those who have passed and the people left behind who cope with loss.  Loss is part of all of our shared experience. However this past summer in Huerfano County brought the Spring Creek fire and its aftermath.  This was more than most of us were prepared to comprehend. In respect to those who were effected by the fire and being evacuated and many who lost their homes, the Museum of Friends is inviting artists to create a new installation that explores mourning, loss or any aspect of the memory of ancestors.
