For admission to the OSHT Program, complete the following steps:

Complete an online Application for Admission. Following submission of the application, email Bernadine DeGarbo to notify her you have just completed an online application for OSHT.

Contact the OSHT Advisor, Jocelyn King, 719-680-6572, to discuss first semester courses and to have the new student advising hold removed so that you can register for classes. You will want to discuss possible transfer credit (see Program Policies) and/or Prior Learning Assessment Credit at this time, to avoid registering for classes you may not need to take.

Be sure to set up your student email account from within the TSJC Portal (see FAQ link for more details). This is where ALL communications regarding your classes, financial aid, advising, job postings, etc. will be sent. If you do not set up AND regularly check your student email account, you will miss out on very important information.

Either self-register for classes, or alternatively, request that Jocelyn assist with course registration. If self-registering, you can obtain course information and CRN numbers for each semester by clicking Class Schedule under QUICK Links below.

Order books from the Trinidad State Bookstore.

If you have transfer credits from other institutions, request official transcripts be sent to: Trinidad State, 600 Prospect St., Trinidad, CO 81082, Attn: Christy Holden.

A week or two before classes begin, login to the Trinidad State Portal, then access TSJC Online or CCCOnline by clicking the appropriate link in the Course Access widget under the Student tab. Follow instructions to self-register for the Student Orientation course, which will show how the online course tools work, to avoid confusion on your first day of class.

On the day classes begin, again login to TSJC Online or CCCOnline (or both, if you’re taking both TSJC Online and CCCOnline classes), then click the link to each class for which you’ve registered to access the course materials.
