Textbook Return Policy

Last day to return textbooks is the add/drop date of each semester generally, about two weeks after the first day of school. All returns must be made within the add/drop date of each semester. The original cash or charge receipt must be presented to obtain a refund or credit. All textbooks must be in original purchase condition. Any defacing or damage including soiled pages and pen or pencil marks will void full refund. Books purchased in prior semesters may not be returned. All wrapped or boxed books must be returned unopened. Final determination of any refund or exchange rests with the bookstore manager.

Textbook Buyback Policy

The bookstore provides a service to students in the form of a textbook buyback program at the end of each semester. This can decrease the net costs students pay for their textbooks as well as provide lower cost inventory for future semesters. The bookstore will buyback a student’s textbook if:

The book is to be used the following semester and an adoption sheet has been turned in by a faculty member

The bookstore needs inventory of this specific title

The book is in reasonable condition.

If the book is not going to be used in the next consecutive semester then the bookstore will not buy the textbook but will contract with a used book broker to offer a purchase price for the textbook. Generally, if the bookstore purchases a text from a student it is for half of the purchase price. Bookstores do not buy back workbooks or fill in books of any kind. This program is offered as a service to the students to offset the net cost of their college textbooks.
