Matt "Moose" Young
Director of Housing
Although my name is Matt I answer to the nickname Moose more than anything else. I started at TSJC in the fall of 2013. Prior to Trinidad State I was the photographer at Casper College in Casper, Wyoming. Before that I worked for almost 15 years taking photos for various newspapers.
I was born and raised in Cheyenne, WY and went to high school in Wellington, KS. I have 1 brother and 3 sisters who are scattered across the globe. I share my apartment with a beagle named Fred.
What I enjoy most about working housing are the residents and that every day is different and challenging. I will also have to admit that living where I work is nice too, Fred gets to come to work every day and he gets to meet all the resident too. Not every day is great, but most days are better than the day before. What more can you ask for?
In my free time I like to hop on the motorcycle and get some miles in, or take the truck and go on a road trip. I have not forgot my “former” life and usually have a camera of some type with me on my adventures.
