Protecting Your Future

For most people, philanthropy is a basic part of our human spirit. We like to help others. We like to give back. We like to make our community just a little better. This philanthropic spirit is abundant in those who support Trinidad State College Foundation!

For many, however, a significant charitable gift doesn’t seem possible. Life is unpredictable and people must always protect themselves against an uncertain future. But with a beneficiary designation, you can create a significant gift for Trinidad State without sacrificing current assets.

People name beneficiaries for their IRAs and life insurance policies. Nothing changes when you name a beneficiary – you still retain 100% control over your assets during life. By naming Trinidad State College Foundation as a beneficiary, however, you can create a beautiful legacy gift that one day will help aspiring students realize their biggest dreams.

Beneficiary forms are available (often online) from your IRA custodian or life insurance company. Simply complete and return the form and your gift will be in place. And if you do remember Trinidad State in your plans, please let us know. We would love to welcome you as a member of our Society of 1925.

For more information, or to request ‘sample bequest language’ that you can share with your attorney, please visit https://trinidadstate.edu/1925/gift.html or contact Toni DeAngelis at toni.deangelis@trinidadstate.edu or 719-846-5520. There is never any expectation or obligation to complete a gift.
