Your Credits Get Evaluated
Once admitted and transcripts received, the Records Office evaluates your credits within 30 days—on a rolling basis. You can check your transfer credit results in DegreeCheck inside the TSC Connect Portal.
TSC Connect Portal →Transfer Credit FAQ
TSC evaluates credits from regionally accredited institutions. Accepted accrediting bodies include:
- Higher Learning Commission
- Middle States Commission on Higher Education
- New England Association of Schools and Colleges
- Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges
- Western Association of Schools and Colleges (both commissions)
Evaluation is based on the course’s title, description, content, and age compared to the equivalent TSC requirement for your declared degree or certificate. Courses from areas not taught at TSC, and remedial/college-prep courses, will not be accepted.
Some programs have more restrictive requirements. Contact the Records Office for details specific to your program.
Yes. If you change your major or disagree with a decision, you can request a re-evaluation by emailing christy.holden@trinidadstate.edu or by submitting the Transfer Credit Evaluation Appeal form.
Decisions are made by the Records Office in accordance with TSC guidelines, transcript receipt date, and declared program. Once applied, transferred credits become part of your permanent academic record.
TSC does not evaluate international transcripts directly. If you have international coursework, you’ll need to work with a NACES-approved credential evaluation service before submitting for transfer credit consideration.
