Since 2015, she has served as the Vice President of Academic Affairs, guided by a
deep commitment to student success—especially for First Generation and rural learners.
Her driving force is ensuring that students not only access higher education, but
feel a strong sense of belonging within it, empowering them to thrive in their vocational
pathways or transfer goals.
Over the course of her leadership, she has helped develop and launch multiple new
academic programs, including two bachelor of applied science degrees, expanding opportunities
for students across diverse disciplines. Her work is shaped by an understanding of
the multigenerational families in our region whose lives are tied to the land, as
well as students who join us for shorter periods before transferring or entering the
workforce. Both groups deserve an educational environment that meets them where they
are and supports their aspirations.
Her passion lies in helping students grow—in their self-awareness, confidence, and
understanding of the processes, structures, and benefits found within higher education.
By creating spaces where students feel seen, valued, and capable, she strives to foster
pathways that change lives, strengthen communities, and honor the unique stories our
students bring with them.
