Originally from Colorado, Jennifer was born and raised in Aguilar where she currently
lives and resides on her family’s small ranch where her husband and two children raise
their goats and cattle and other small animals such as rabbits and chickens.
Jennifer is a proud alumni of Trinidad State Junior College where she graduated in
2002 and transferred to Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado where she earned
her Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in General
Business graduating with high honors such as Phi Thetta Kappa (International College
Honor Society), Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges and Cum Laude.
She is the current United States Department of Education TRIO Programs site administrator
for both the Trinidad State College and Trinidad State College Valley Campus sites
and can be found in both locations in Trinidad and Alamosa, where she specializes
helping students in areas of financial aid, FAFSA, college admission applications,
scholarships and loans.
Jennifer comes to us with 20+ years in public k-12 education and is now enjoying the
opportunity to work with the students in the college / university setting in higher
education and to finish out her time before retirement.
She is honored to be part of the partnership and legacy that Colorado State University-Pueblo
and Trinidad State College has built and to be part of such a wonderful faculty and
staff.
In her spare time, Jennifer can be found playing softball, traveling, dancing or fishing
with her family and friends, raising her farm animals and enjoying watching her children
grow up.
