Psychology - AA

The Psychology Program at Trinidad State is designed for students to complete the lower-division (freshman and sophomore) portion of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. This Associate of Arts degree includes Guaranteed Transfer Courses and the lower-division psychology core courses recommended by the Colorado Department of Higher Education to provide students with basic and applied knowledge to transfer to a university.

Learn in classrooms or online with live teacher interaction. These classes are delivered via WebEx or Zoom platforms and broadcast to multiple facilities simultaneously. Students from prisons across Colorado have live interaction with the instructor and each other via their classroom monitor or Chromebooks.

This degree may be free or at minimum cost to you when you apply for a Federal Pell Grant.

This degree is a transferable degree that is good for students interested in psychology, counseling, coaching, or transferring to a 4-year college or university. All courses offered in this program are Guaranteed Transfer courses, except for BIO 2116. Courses offered in this program will be accepted at other institutions in Colorado. So, if a student is unable to complete their program with Trinidad State, they will seamlessly be able to finish their degree at another institution.
