Before coming to Trinidad State, Donna was employed in various medical and physical
therapy offices in Trinidad. She then served as the Loan Officer for the South Central
Council of Governments Housing Rehabilitation Program. During her time with SCCOG
she assisted with the formation of a 501c3 Community Housing Development Organization
and became the Executive Director of that organization. She currently serves as a
Commissioner for the Trinidad Housing Authority Board of Directors.
In 2008 she joined Trinidad State as the Executive Assistant to the President and
was later made the Continuing Education Coordinator. She currently coordinates non-credit and workforce courses as well as the Summer NRA Gunsmithing Program, Heritage School, and the makerspace/business incubator. In addition, she assists with the faculty/instructor credentialing process for the
college. She is the local contact for the Skill Advance Colorado and Rural Jumpstart
programs, which originate in the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International
Trade.
