Feb 21, 2017
Creative students, faculty and staff are invited to submit works for a campus art
show at the Samuel Freudenthal Memorial Library. Works will be on display from April
5 to April 28, 2017. An open house with refreshments is planned for April 5 from 5
to 8 p.m. Works accepted will include metal sculptures, checkering, carving, scrimshaw,
photography, drawing or painting. Art work and photos must be ready for display and
no larger than 24 x 30 inches. Submissions may be from class projects, or simply done
as a hobby. No operable firearms will be allowed, but samples of art related to guns
will be accepted. Metal work must be no larger than 2’ x 2’ x 2’ and weigh no more
than 50 pounds. The show is open to faculty, students and staff, but is limited to
two pieces of art per person. Submissions may be rejected if subject matter is deemed
inappropriate. Submissions must be delivered to Berg Room 210 by 10 a.m. on March
31, 2017. There is no fee to enter an item in the show. Works from the Valley Campus
in Alamosa will also be accepted. Three prizes of $50 each will be awarded under criteria
yet to be determined.
