Over the summer of 2024, Trinidad State College's bookstore Starbucks underwent a significant renovation, expanding and transforming the space to better serve the campus community. The project included updates to the flooring, furniture, and preparation area, resulting in a refreshed and dynamic environment.
The renovation was a collaborative effort between Trinidad State and Sodexo, with key contributions from Joel Ihrie, Sodexo General Manager; Kyle Schmella, Sodexo Vice President of Operations; Mel Shiveley, Trinidad State Maintenance; and Shannon Shiveley, Trinidad Vice President of Finance. Their combined efforts have resulted in a modernized Starbucks area that enhances the convenience and experience for all patrons.
Special thanks are also extended to Penny Bueno and the plant staff for their invaluable help in bringing this project to life.
"The hard work and dedication to the progress of Trinidad State made this a fruitful endeavor," said Joel Ihrie, Sodexo General Manager, reflecting the commitment of everyone involved in the renovation.
The revamped Starbucks area stands as a testament to the progressive partnership between Trinidad State and Sodexo, offering an upgraded space for students, faculty, and visitors to enjoy. The new look promises to be a welcoming spot on campus for relaxation and refreshment.
