Title-V
Federal Title V funding helps TSC build support services, learning spaces, and technology that serve Hispanic and underserved students on both campuses.

Our role as a Hispanic-Serving Institution
Trinidad State College is a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), a federal designation for accredited, degree-granting, public or private nonprofit colleges.
To qualify, an institution must enroll 25% or more Hispanic or Latino/a/x students, along with a large percentage of students who are eligible for Pell Grants. The designation supports our mission to provide quality educational experiences and lifelong learning while educating for the future, and it allows TSC to apply for federal funding through Title V grants.
- 1999 TSC designated a Hispanic-Serving Institution
- 2000 TSC receives its first Title V grant
- 2020 Five-year Adelante Title V grant begins
