Academic Full-Time and Part-Time Enrollment
To complete a 60 credit hour degree program on time in two years, and to be eligible for insititutional scholarships, students must be enrolled in at least 15 credit hours per semester. However, by academic and federal financial aid definition, to be considered a full-time student at Trinidad State College, you must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. Federal Financial Aid recognizes a student carrying 12 credit hours to be full-time. A student who registers for fewer than 12.0 credit hours within a semester is a part-time student. Students may not register for more than 18.0 credit hours without written approval from the appropriate Instructional Dean.
